Mangroves are the trees that you will find the most throughout the coastline of world. Mangroves are very important in all aspects to the Environment and it’s people. Best Reason is Mangrove tree have been the Source of firewood in India Since ancient time. Society is so much selfish that it look for their Own Desire only and not it effect it will have on others. For Instance, Most of things in society are done with the help of Mangrove trees such as building house, furniture, transmission as well as telephone poles and certain household items. In most of countries coastal area uses Mangroves as a substitute product for fodder. Thus Mangroves reduce pressures from the scarce pasture lands and how it shows it’s importance.

It is possible to derive timber products from Mangrove forests without Significant environment degradation and while maintaining their value as a nursery and a source of food for commercial capture fisheries.

Awareness about MANGROVES
In the past few years there has been an increase in the awareness of the people. Residents associations are coming together to spread this awareness. The NGO’s are making efforts to highlight the issue like land reclamation, coastal regulation zone notification and illegal destruction of the Mangrove areas through the interventions of the government and bodies.
For instance :- Recent case of vashi airport area cutting down Mangroves trees for capturing more space for airport in unlawful and illegal manner. The protection of Mangrove ecosystem is possible only through participation of the people. Media has also played vital role in generating awareness about such an important and crucial thing.

Last several decades study shows Approximately 35% of Mangrove area was lost of the twentieth century. shrimp farming causes a quarter of the destruction of mangrove forests. the 2010 update of the World Mangrove Atlas indicated a fifth of the world's mangrove ecosystems have been lost since 1980. It has been cited that mangroves can help buffer against Tsunami, cyclones, and other storms.
